Access Cover Kit
The Trenchlink Access Cover Kit has been developed to address the problem of collapsed chambers in the roadway whereby the gradual disintegration of the underlying chamber results in the movement of the access cover below the level of the corresponding road surface.
Although a typical chamber can disintegrate slowly over time without causing undue concern, it is also the case that a point is reached in which a dramatic increase in the rate of collapse occurs and this presents an immediate danger to vehicular traffic on the highway network.
This typically results in an emergency call-out by the relevant authority, which is costly due to the need to set up traffic management systems to manage the site.
However, the traffic management equipment then causes a new and costly problem in itself- traffic delays during peak and off-peak hours while awaiting repair of the chamber, which can sometimes take a week or more due to liabilities relating to ownership of the chamber and cover.
In order to address these issues, Trenchlink has developed a portable access cover system which has the following benefits:• Transported to/from site in a light van
